I'll start by wire framing (planning) your pages based on your business need. I'll then place your copy and imagery perfectly on to your pages and add in any other functionality you need. Typically it can work in these stages:
Stage 1: We’ll discuss what you need over mail (or zoom if you prefer)
Stage 2: Wire framing and web build, based on previous discussions
Stage 3: Developments and tweaks after viewing site online (unpublished)
Stage 4: Final site connected to domain and published
All projects are unique, as are your requirements. Typically, each stage can go like this:
Stage 1: 1 hour
Stage 2: 2-3 weeks
Stage 3: 1-2 weeks
Stage 4: 1-2 days
So 5-6 weeks depending on availability and complexity of design.
There are many web services out there that provide content management systems (I use one!) but you are bombarded with templates that other people have used, imagery that can be found all over the internet, and you just get that same old look and feel - and a website that doesn't really align to your brand.

I used to build websites from scratch using HTML coding so I have a good understanding of structure, page layout and functionality. Working in marketing departments gave me knowledge in what to include to engage customers, where to put CTAs and what people basically like to see from a website.
I once hand built a website that had close to 200 pages!!

I built the Pixel & Bloom website all by myself, using a CMS system, but making calculated changes to make it my own. I leverage a CMS system enough that design can be pushed without sacrificing performance and ensure that it is still accessible, responsive, and looks good on all devices.
